Dr. Marcos Gayol is a board-certified Public Health Registered Nurse. He is an active member with the American Nurses Association (ANA), National League for Nursing (NLN), National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and the Association of Public Health Nurses (APHN). He earned a Doctorate in Education Leadership, a Master of Public Health, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
He has been working in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years, as a practicing nurse, mentor, entrepreneur, and administrator as well as serving in senior leadership roles both in private and public sectors within areas of public health, informatics, and higher education. Dr. Gayol has expertise in leadership and program oversight that is population-focused and uses data to drive decisions and subsequently uses evidence-based best nursing practices to support patients in achieving better health outcomes with a primary focus on illness prevention and health promotion.
Dr. Marcos Gayol is politically active in state and national movements in support of universal healthcare and policy reform to increase access to comprehensive, culturally appropriate healthcare services. He has a special interest in assisting and supporting immigrants and other vulnerable populations who are often unable to access healthcare and educational services – believing that a more educated society is a healthier society.
