Dr. Carolyn Hughes, DNP, RN, PHN, NE-BC, NPD-BC, is a dedicated nursing leader currently leading Nursing Professional Development and Clinical Excellence at Essentia Health. She oversees professional development, patient health education, nursing holistic care, nursing research, and academic practice partnerships, where she leads sublime multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. Her leadership style is rooted in wellness, collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast focus on patient-centered care, along with a motto of “positive relationships lead to meaningful work". Outside of her professional role, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family and advocating for humankind.
