Biography:
Dr. Katie Martin is an assistant professor at Augsburg University in the Nursing Department. She serves as the Director of the BSN completion program and teaches courses on Nursing theory and Nursing research. She earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota in Nursing. Her dissertation research was a critical discourse analysis of the communication between midivies and their patients. She has a Masters degree in midwifery from the University of Minnesota. Her clinical work has included working as a registered nurse in obstetrics and practicing full scope midwifery at an academic health center.
