Biography:
Dr. Laura Yost, an Instructional Services Specialist, received a PhD in History from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She taught History and Cultural Studies for 18 years, emphasizing asynchronous and hybrid instruction. Now as an instructional designer, she focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), learner success, digital literacy, accessibility, and Competency-Based Education (CBE). She has discussed AI for Rutgers University, the National Science Teaching Association, the University of Central Florida, ACUE, the League for Innovation in the Community College, and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). During Fall 2025, she served as CAST’s invited discussant on AI and learner agency.
