Biography:
Naomi Hurley MSN (c), BSN, RN, CCRN: Naomi is a dedicated Nursing Professional Development Practitioner who is currently working as a clinical nurse educator in the ICU at RWJBH Hamilton. Naomi has 16 years of nursing experience in telemetry, neurocritical care, school nursing and the last three and a half years in nursing education. She is a Critical Care Certified Nurse and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing education from Aspen University. Naomi is passionate about engaging critical care staff in innovative educational experiences. She spends the majority of her days in the unit, as she believes being readily available encourages collaboration and empowers the bedside nurse to confidently navigate complex clinical situations, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Beyond the unit, Naomi is a proactive leader within the interdisciplinary landscape, serving as the chair of the Code Committee, an active member and leadership liaison in the ICU unit-based council, Professional Governance and Professional Practice Council. These roles allow Naomi to ensure that frontline staff are not clinically proficient but are also supported by policies that reflect the evolving landscape of modern nursing.
