Title : Developing leaders to engage staff in today’s healthcare environment
Abstract:
With the development of technology and increased regulations, healthcare has changed dramatically over the past decades from providing lots of hands on care and performing the necessary interventions to spending countless hours away from the patients side to accomplish the tasks necessary from the development of technology and regulations. In the everchanging world of healthcare today we find many challenges create stress among caregivers. It takes a diverse well-prepared leader to provide the focus, vision and support for the front-line staff to be engaged and energized to deliver high quality safe care. An engaged caregiver has the skills to navigate the many stressors of providing care today. Having a leader that has developed the necessary skill set to engage front-line staff is essential to the patient experience. This session is designed to provide the resources necessary today to develop nursing leaders to provide the required tools that engage staff in the stressed world of health care today.
