Title : Understanding compassion fatigue in the nursing student

Abstract:

Abstract: Nursing students are often working full-time while attending school and supporting their families. In addition to the stressors caused by returning to school the pandemic has left many nursing students feeling burned out and questioning their future as nurses. The nurse educator needs to be able to understand the signs of compassion fatigue and burnout in the nursing student. This poster presentation will discussion the factors leading to compassion fatigue and steps that can be taken to support nursing students with grace.
