Abstract:

CT surgery patients have better outcomes if ambulated early after surgery. At UT medical Center we utilize exercise physiologist to ambulate our CT surgery patients three times a day. After chart reviews of the last three months, CTSU floor was only ambulating patients 66% of the time. We have created a ambulation board to track daily ambulation and charting of these patients and hope to increase our ambulation and documentation of walks to 80% by March 2024.
