Biography:
Alicia Hernandez Punsalan is a second-year doctoral student in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) track at the University of San Diego Hahn School of Nursing. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco in 2012 and went on to pursue her master’s degree at UCSF school of nursing family nurse practitioner program. Upon graduating from the FNP program, she started her career as a nurse practitioner in a rural community at a federally qualified health center in women’s health/OBGYN. Since then, she has transitioned to a private practice clinic, but continues to practice in the women’s health/OBGYN specialty.
