Biography:
Capt. Dan Willis (ret) served with the La Mesa (CA) Police for 30 years in part as a crimes of violence-homicide detective and Wellness Unit coordinator. He’s a graduate of San Diego State University. Capt. Willis has trained over 11,000 first responders and healthcare professionals on trauma recovery, resilience, and wellness in 40 states. He’s the author of the emotional survival and wellness guidebook Bulletproof Spirit: The First Responders Essential Resource for Protecting and Healing Mind and Heart and has published over two dozen articles on trauma recovery, resilience, and wellness – as well as personal and organizational wellness.
