Pulmonary And Respiratory Nursing
With a focus on treating patients with respiratory illnesses and disorders, pulmonary and respiratory nursing is a practise specialty. This includes conditions like sleep apnea, lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, COPD, and tuberculosis. As part of their comprehensive care, pulmonary and respiratory nurses also perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, and offer emotional support to their patients. To develop customised treatment plans, they collaborate with other medical experts. Asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, tuberculosis, and lung cancer are a few examples of lung diseases or respiratory conditions that are the focus of pulmonary nursing.
