Gynecology Nursing
Women's health is the focus of gynaecology nursing, which specialises in treating illnesses and conditions that only affect women. In a multidisciplinary setting, a gynaecology nurse often provides individualised treatment to women of different ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Gender continues to have a significant role in determining health and ultimately, access to healthcare. Gynecology's area of expertise is the care of women's specific medical demands. Women's health nurses can work in a variety of fields, such as gynaecological oncology, early pregnancy, sexual health, reproductive medicine, acute gynaecological emergency care, and urogynecology, among others. A gynaecological nurse is in charge of a woman's clinical evaluation, as well as fighting for her right to prompt and appropriate healthcare, giving advice and education about the range of services available, and managing her treatment.
