Hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, and other medical facilities are not complete without a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), often known as post-anesthesia recovery (PAR), or simply Recovery. The operating room suites to the recovery area are transported with patients who have had general anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, or local anaesthesia. Anesthetists who are qualified registered nurse anaesthetists, anesthesiologists, and other medical personnel often keep an eye on the patients. Providers follow a consistent handoff method to the medical PACU team that includes the drugs administered in the operating room suites, the hemodynamic status of the patient during the operations, and what is anticipated for their recovery. Prior to being sent back to their hospital rooms after initial examination and stabilisation, patients are watched for any potential problems.
